aDigital Perspective

Overview

“GOCAT” Gallery presents the exhibition aDigital Perspective, bringing together, for the first time, ten emerging artists from Italy and the Balkans, offering a perspective both similar and distinct on art and the impact of digital technologies.

This exhibition is part of a cultural project organized by the Italian Cultural Institutes of Tirana, Belgrade, and Bucharest, inviting art lovers to reflect on the optimistic future of the artistic landscape. The exhibition is open until March 31, and its displayed works are as diverse as the techniques used, including installation art, painting, photography, and more, despite their analog roots.

Marco Bassan, the curator of the exhibition and founder of Spazio Taverna, a renowned multidisciplinary center for contemporary art in Italy, described aDigital Perspective as a meeting point between two worlds. It connects Italian artists, focused on examining art history and interpreting it through the lens of the digital world, with Balkan artists, who, in contrast, take a more socially and politically engaged approach and see digitalization as a significant challenge.

GOCAT Gallery is a gift from Mane Foundation to the artistic community, giving artists a space to showcase their work for free, while allowing art lovers to enjoy it without any charge.
